Langford Bikefest Kicks Off Spring with Pump Track and MTB Racing

Spring is around the corner and the 3rd annual Langford Bikefest will feature two exciting cycling events during spring break on March 29 / 31.

On March 29-30, the Jordie Pump Jam will take place on the Velosolutions pump track at the Jordie Lunn Bike Park. The format sees riders line up in a time trial format and drop into a maze of berms and rollers, each racing to cross the finish line with the fastest time. The catch? No pedaling allowed. It's about Chains off. Game on. Strength, momentum and skill are the name of the game in this arena where pedal-less power reigns supreme and a single mistake can cost the victory.

On Sunday March 31 is the Broad Street Cycles XC as part of the coveted Island Cup Mountain Bike Series. Racers will be tackling a 6km course that features World Cup style climbing and descents on the meticulous trails of the Langford Gravity Zone & Nature Trail. Featured Trails include Initial Attack, Steam Donkey, Wildcat, Wonderland, and Berm Reynolds.

The 2024 Langford Bikefest Lineup includes:

·         March 29 – Jordie Pump Jam Qualifiers

·         March 30 - Jordie Pump Jam Heats / Quarter Finals / Finals

·         March 31 – Broad Street Cycles XC – Island Cup MTB Series #1
